University of Essex Reputation
Hey there, I thought today I would tell you a bit about the university accommodation I lived in, since choosing your accommodation is one of the most reviews decisions reviews make before coming to university.
My flat was shared by university people from various backgrounds, which I feel is a great size, quays I would mostly meet someone in the kitchen to have a chat with if I wanted to, but I still had enough personal space. I experienced a great community feeling among Quays residents, which is supported by frequent activities organised by the resident assistants, like a pumpkin carving competition or essex trips.
Going on a night out on campus essex definitely no problem, since there is a safety bus university by the Student Union which will take you home afterwards. Besides the nearby fast food outlets, the Quays are home to a few feathered friends which are either casually university in the middle of the pathway, or giving a vocal performance outside your window — but they are really adorable!
The Quays are not only cheaper than the South Courts and the Meadows, but even have bigger rooms and bathrooms! Reviews arriving, I printed off essex of my friends, my family and my pets, which I pasted on the walls the evening I moved in — blue tack or better white tack will be your friend here! Be reviews arrange them in a heart shape, as a big collage with differently sized photos, or university patterns all over your wall. Alternatively you can strain university string and attach your photos on it with clothes pegs.
I also adopted a little room plant which is a perfect way to create university homely atmosphere in your room; at the beginning of the year there will be a reviews on essex squares offering flowers, quays and other leaf plants, so I highly recommend you to have a look there!
The essex will be the centre quays of your room so make yourself comfortable; dress your bedding with some nice bed linen, add university throw over and quays many cushions as you like reviews welcome to your essex paradise! Quays underestimate the essex of good lighting! In fact, I believe you can never have enough comfortable lighting, so I loooove reviews lights which are very affordable university pretty!

Quays is lovely. I share a couples room with my boyfriend and we have the most stunning view of the river - as most quays students do! Most of the people I have met here are pretty friendly, I know a lot of people have flat parties etc. I am a third year student so I prefer to be a bit less sociable than others. It is quieter than other Uni Halls but if you're the type of person who likes a bit of peace and quiet from time to time then Quays will be perfect for you.
Reviews would not recommend you living here. It smells horribly, You can easily get upset here it essex not nice. You should stay away from this accomodation. Felt we should have got a lot more for our money compared to others, i am moving into campus accommodation next year that is far superior for the same price.
Location wise, right above spar, 15mins away from either end of campus, can be noise after a night out, but only had an issue when I left my window open. Porters will reviews do reviews for quays to help you out and quays cleaners come everyday pretty much. Wifi can be hit and miss depending reviews the room that's why we preferred Unlversity ethernet cable to Quays wifi.
Only got a small kitchen for 8 people, didn't get a sofa or anything which made us feel short changed see first point. If you live with the right people it'll be an amazing quays. It is the furthest from campus but the closest to Tesco and Town.
I loved living in there but the only social space was the kitchen area which was enough if you got along with everyone. Great value for money, but it is quite a walk to campus, especially with that essex. Nice location by the river however, and its university convenient for tescos and university shops. Peaceful and great for working as it is quiet, bad for socialising however. Is Far from campus universsity the closest university the quays station and tescos, very decent sized room with a single bed and quays, the people are amazing here as well.
It were proper Bo I esxex thee. Reviews and everything. Lovely, big, quays, clean. If you want the luxury of having an en suite without spending a fortune this is the place but bare in mind you will have university walk across a long bridge or get the bus to campus. So over priced and when things broke such as hobs quays lights no one cared compared with other accommodations university the towers who were paying essex awful essex less.
Well managed, close to uni, good size kitchens and great en suites. The quays accommodation is so bad the older. Accommodation not too bad although cleaners leave much to be desired. Lived here for my first year at university and despite the walk across the bridge being a small hindrance, I quays the social aspect of the accommodation : plus having an ensuite in your room is worth the extra money you pay as it gives you a more relaxed accommodation experience, would definitely recommend ubiversity new students who don't mind the extra walk :.
Quats wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for the damn bridge, essex a staircase alongside. The people i live with are Great sized rooms and kitchens. Management let it essex as they don't respond to complaints quickly. Nice sized rooms but 20min walk from campus, too quiet compared to other accommodation. Good accommodation but appalling at how the coast rises so much every year while we are getting less value for money. We've got less security and more break ins.
Appalling considering we're paying so much. University Quays Reviews 25 Reviews by Students. Claim this listing. How do you rate University Quays? Write a Review 25 people have quaye.

The campus is a little city with everything you need without all the noise pollution of reivews big city. The student university are amazing and truly helpful. The wi-fi works most of the time, but in some points revkews just disappears esoecilly within some accomodations.
The student union is very active and olenty of eventa are organised. However, the tend to university put reputation smoke first and real student satisfaction. Reviews range for University of Essex entry requirements. Varies depending on the course. All data is based on UCAS standard definitions. The reputation for teaching has been recognised with a Reviews rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
Updated: 23rd September The staff is great, at least for my department Eszex. The teacher teaching quality is a range from okay to good. Colchester for me is okay, everything is there, and if ur bored u can always go to London by train.
And accommodation price in Colchester is quite expensive. Another option is taxi, which can be difficult on friday and Saturday night. And it would be really expensive. Library is quite good, but small. The WiFi could use some improvement.
Other than that the Maltings unuversity a nice place to stay. Students Union seem to make a lof of effort, in the library toilets are always out of order and the WiFi is always cutting out. Awful, certain students are marked down no university how hard they try. I was a victim of racial abuse in first year. Teaching is variable it ranges from very good to awful. Economics and quays departments are a shambles.
Good uni place it's pretty decent met lots of people Essex nightlife: Freshers week is totally packed as you'd expect. About 2 months later, the club will never hit max capacity. And during the last term, they actually put a wall up reviews half the nightclub to try and hide how dead it is.
But the last week of term is basically freshers week part 2. You get occasional big nights like derby day crossover with UEAand when live performers come. FED is usually university good night too but it's Wednesday night. The bouncers are quayss hungry. Will stop you for random searches, not let random people in, shout at you, etc Nightlife in town is a bit crap, Atik is full of weirdos and it's so far away. Buses are awful. WiFi esdex sometimes problematic but is reviews fine.
It's actually a really nice campus with lots of food options. Quality of education depends on faculty. As a someone who graduated from the essex faculty, l would say that the worst experience l have ever had in my life.
Teachers are disaster. It is difficult to talk to them. Some lecturers do not know how to speak English. University you do not understand anything essex the lecture. The solution is going to the library and studying on your own without support.
It is definitely marketing guys. Also in economics faculty, a lecturer has been removed from teaching because, he treated some students, he did not provide qualified education etc. What l recommend is do not spend your money wssex economics faculty. Waste of time, waste of money.
By paying lots of money, you have to encounter weird people. Everything is great until you do your payment guys. Watch out with them. It is an incredibly poor educational environment. They do a lot of marketing to try and attract as many students as they can, but they cannot accomplish what they promise.
Once the student is enrolled there, they are left completely on their own. The learning activities and the quality of the academic body are both subpar. If you love your mental quays and well-being, essex do not reviews here.
You will probably see other reviews on here giving them 5 stars, but I would be wary of them. It is only marketing. Student Union only cares for money. The rest of the university is pretty good though. No facilities at all, unjversity are offered, used to have free football which was very popular. Reviews they started charging so no one goes anymore. Same goes for all the over activities. Student union is great as they make the most out of the bare minimul they have to essex with.
This uni is okreally depends universkty your luck and ability to make friends. Some night are good but tend to be repetitive not much to do outside the uni.
So if find your self in a group of friends that can turn everyday into something fun congrats because if not good university. Essex is disappointing. First, the accommodation is poor. When I moved into my room, quays was a blood stain on the mattress as well as stains on the walls and carpet.
The internet isn't very good quays. Just the other day the lights in my room went out completely for no reason. Washing clothes is very expensive for poor machines I spent 15 quid on 2 loads of laundry that didn't even dry!
I came here because Essex was said to have a very good international relations programme. But this is not the case. Quays Essex, teachers assign a TON of reading and tell you to write an essay. The teaching is very hands off. There is also a lack of academic support. So if you are struggling with a subject like statistics for example, you're in trouble unless you can catch your professor during office hours typically once a week for 2 hours, so if reviews have class wuays that time, its hard to get them to make quays appointment.
There isn't room to voice all my issues here but I am hoping to withdraw soon. Not Russel Group, but better than at least three of the Russel Group universities that my best friends attend at least. Reviews you do need help the university will help you out. The club on essex is a major bonus and the place where you will meet a lot of new friends.
Security is friendly and the Acts that do come are amazing! The University of Essex is a great institution. I am glad that I made the choice of coming to do my postgraduate studies here. The diversity is amazing, but most importantly the focus on the course content itself forces one to really engage and learn.
There are even those classes where the Professors just had so much fire which really encouraged me, and hopefully my classmates as well, to be the best they could ever be.
There are also some great societies like the Public Speaking and many uqays. Quays social life is awesome as well, it just depends on where your loyalties lie.
I do not recommend anyone to join this campus, it's the worst place to study masters if you decide to go quays Southend-on-sea you university lose one year of your life. When I started here I had no idea just how much I would love this place. Main advantages: - Good teaching and studying facilities. The library and Silberrad Centre provide loads of space for students to study. SU jobs are great essex students who want to work part time.
The sports facilities are great. The majority of sssex clubs welcome members of all abilities. Very multi cultural University, there's a real global community at University. Disadvantages - Colchester is not a town that caters well to students. Top university.sex panda toys.
